Reached for tape, got nerf darts
As tough as work was today, and on a scale of 1-10 it was a 7 - so not too-too bad, I finished the day by doing a fist-pump, jumping 3 feet into the air and sending a quick, joyous shout-out to God who answered a little prayer of mine I suppose tonight.
Otherwise, I taped a cute little card on my neighbor and good friend's door who is starting the same training program today (at our mutual employer) that I started back in May, so- pretty recently.
"You did it! Congratulations, & welcome to the club!" Accompanied by some suction-cup nerf darts on her door cuz I'm a huge dork for some reason and they were within arms reach of my scotch tape. lol.
I am super exhausted, and will reflect more on this day, well, another day.
It's cool to have moments of pure joy - like when a little wish comes true.
They're often fleeting, but they're supposed to be. "Glimmers" they call them.
That and passing along my experience and encouragement to the “next generation” 😆 (who do I think I am? Like, Socrates or something?!), in part I suppose gave me enough motivation to go to bed on time, get up early and do it all again tomorrow.
It does get tougher, at times, to rinse and repeat every single day.
Nothing gets easier-
But, that's life!
:)
